At Sustenance, Venetia Furbert helps organisations turn sustainability ambition into credible strategy, stronger governance and measurable long-term value.

She brings specialist expertise at the intersection of sustainability, climate risk, insurance and financial services. Venetia advises boards and executive teams on integrating environmental and social considerations into business strategy, enterprise risk management, operations, investment decision-making and corporate reporting.
 

With 15 years of experience across the re/insurance industry, she has held diverse roles including, Financial Lines Underwriter with Chubb Bermuda, ESG Manager for the UK and Lloyds with AXA XL, Climate Risk Project Manager with Munich Re Group. 

Venetia holds the professional designations of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Reinsurance (ARe), Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU), Associate in General Insurance (AINS), and a Cyber Risk Management Certificate (CYB). She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Climate Change and Development from SOAS University of London and a BA (Hons) in Politics and International Relations from the University of Kent. Her executive education includes Business Sustainability Management through the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), complementing her expertise across re/insurance, climate risk, sustainability and business strategy.
